Robert L. Wartell, DMD is a general dentist with his practice limited to two areas: obstructive sleep apnea, and  headaches, jaw pain, jaw clicking, and inability to move the jaw properly. Our patients have often seen their family doctor, medical specialists, and dentists before being referred to our office to relieve their problems. Patients with chronic ear pain are sometimes referred by general physicians and ear specialists. Ear pain that is felt even though an ear examination shows no ear problem is often caused by the jaw joints. This is a problem that can be treated successfully by Dr. Wartell.Dr. Wartell is the only general dentist in Northern New Mexico who does not do dentistry. His practice is limited to jaw problems and to treating obstructive sleep apnea using oral sleep appliances. If you have obstructive sleep apnea, and have difficulty using continuous positive air pressure (CPAP), ask your physician to refer you for an evaluation for oral appliance therapy. Dr. Wartell can also help reduce or eliminate snoring using oral appliances.
